STUDENT SHEPHERDS

Service is one component that contributes to discipleship.  And, at Flower City Work Camp we take the concept of discipleship seriously.  There are great adult volunteers in place to guide the student campers, but we are also interested in training up students into positions of spiritual leadership.

Students who possess spiritual maturity and have a desire to serve their fellow students even more can volunteer to attend Work Camp in the role of a Student Shepherd.  Student Shepherds serve on teams in all four areas of Work Camp, lead devotions during lunch each day, organize and guide prayer walks and look out for and encourage the other students on their team.  This is a wonderful position of growth and service.

During the application process, students who qualify will be asked if they would like to be considered to also serve as a Student Shepherd.  Applicants will be contacted prior to Work Camp and will attend one separate training event prior to Work Camp.
